Failure Is not an Option 6.13.13

I've started a new way of eating thanks to JJ Virgin and her book.  I have cut out 7 foods from my diet and so far have lost 10lbs.  No more gluten, sugar, artificial sweetners, eggs, soy, peanuts and dairy. Brain fog has gone and i just feel so much better. 

Trying to exercise at least 3 or 4 times a week.  I will not give up until i recognize the girl in the mirror.  She's in there somewhere :)

Craig has been very supportive.

I need to journal everyday to keep my motivation up, says JJ Virgin, so here i am blogging.....

For breakfast i'm making protein shakes that include kale, strawberries, blueberries, flaxseed, coconut milk and a chocolate protein's really good

Lunch Today:  Turkey lettuce good  (onion, cilantro, jalepnos, tomatoes)

Dinner:  Not sure, maybe another shake.

Since i'm in Cycle 1 of the JJ Virgin new way of eating...i need to have at least 2 shakes a day as replacement meals.....Cycle 1 only lasts for 21 days :)

I still believe that Failure is NOT an option!

I went off track but glad to say that I'm back on the band wagon of eating healthy.
I had gained back the 9lbs i had previously lost. Now, I have lost 2.2.lbs and I just pray I can keep it up. Consistency is a good word and I need to be CONSISTENT!!
I'll never give up day I will get there.
And when I do I will be so happy to blog with excitement!

Whew! Today is a Great Day!

So glad that it's Monday and I'm back on schedule with my eating habits.

Now, for another 12 days of eating healthy and feeling better! We'll see how the pounds come off this next 12 day cycle. I hope I lose another 9 lbs! Tonight I'm going to start eating 1/2 grapefruit instead of drinking 8oz of NSA grapefruit juice and see how that works. I'm sure the real fruit will be better than the juice regardless if it has no sugar in it...there are still carbo's.

So here's hoping I'll have more good news to post in a few days!

Light Bulb!

So this weekend I was to go off my diet (2 days). I don't know why but that is what the instructions say on this whole diet thing i'm doing. Monday I'll get back on the diet for 12 days.
Well, I realize that i LOVE structure and i miss not having my structure. WEIRD!!

And I just feel better about myself when i'm eating right.

Today I'm feeling depressed....gotta pull myself out of it

Ok. I'm out of it...time for laundry!!!

Day 12 of eating healthy!

I am down 9 LBS! and sooooooooo excited about it. So, i eat healthy for 12 days then off for 2 then back on the health kick for 12 days then off two...i'll keep doing that until i'm where i want to be.

Let's see, where do I want to be? On a white, sandy beach and not feeling self conscience about what i look like in my bathing suit.

I would love to weigh 145...i think that's going to be my goal.

My short term goal is BELOW 200 lbs.... 17 more to go and i'll REACH MY GOAL!!!

This weekend i get to go off the diet. I'm determined not to blow it ...maybe have dessert and a cheeseburger!
I think i want a cold beer too. Just one...hrm...that sounds refreshing

Getting Back To It!

Starting a new diet today. Cutting out sugars and starches.
I have self diagnosed myself as an emotional eater. Anytime I feel any kind of stress I head for the cabinets for something to eat and it's usually something sweet.
Gosh, it's just tough to have to worry about every little thing that goes into your mouth. I hate it!
Recently I had lost something like 25 lbs. but today I stepped back on the scale and was up 8 lbs. just since July 9th! Wow...followed by UUGGHHHH!!
So, today I'm eating protein with salads for lunch and incorporating grapefruit too because i hear it is suppose to help with the break down of fat...???
No coffee today either and I'm still awake! Ha Ha
Mainly, I just want to be thinner because i have noticed a big difference in how people (family and true friends excluded) treat you when you are heavier. Maybe that's just me...

I just wanted to sign in and start blogging again in hopes that would help keep me on track.
I still have that short term goal to be below 200lbs!
