Hellloooo again!
Well, i kinda went astray for a couple days but back in the groove today. I had a couple meals that aren't on the "good" list. Yikes! I can't do that!
Today is a new day and i'm getting back on the wagon. Maybe i can make it another 71/2 days without eating anything bad again....that's how long it had been before i fell off

Hellooooooooo there! Today was a great day in Rachel world. Work went swell, workout was great and a trip to Wal-mart is always good :) Ha Ha
It's been one full week now that i've started eating right and exercising and i feel great. It's weird how you can automatically feel better about yourself when you know you are making better food choices regardless if you are losing weight. My beloved cheeseburgers will have to wait a long time for me! No more cheeseburgers! Bye Bye FAT! Bye Bye FAT Rachel! I don't want to see you anymore! Ha Ha
Skinny Rachel has been hiding for MANY years and i'm determined to find her!

It was so funny tonight when i attended my Kick-boxing class because i couldn't keep up and or keep to the beat of the music but my main goal was to be there and get a workout....i didn't die and i made it thru so i'm a happy camper!

Now for a good night sleep....

Happy Monday! I survived the weekend without blowing my diet! That is unheard of and i'm so glad i made it thru. Today i will be attending my first Zumba class during lunch at the gym...i'll let you know how it goes! Blogging is really helping as it keeps the thoughts fresh in my mind.

Hubby and I had a great weekend just hanging out. Both of us were pretty tired so we didn't get out much. Sunday i went to the gym....yes i went on a weekend..whooo hoooo!

I'm also dying to hear about how my friend did over the weekend in TN as she was in a bikini contest! Can you imagine? She is so brave :) I'm so proud of her and she has been my inspiration for this blog. D I'm so proud of you!!!

I made it thru lunch! May seem trivial but it feels like a huge accomplishment!
I had Grilled Chicken Salad w/dressing on the side and barley used any dressing...
Funny......i didn't miss a thing did I?
I'm going to try and not weigh myself for a couple weeks. Ok. so on June 25th I hope to have some good news from the scale!!
This writing thing is really motivating. I never really knew how motivating it could be.

June 11, 2010 - My First Big Temptation This Week!

Things have been going great this week but i have lunch plans for Abuelos! Yikes!
I have gone online to check out their menu so i'll know what i can order before i get there. Now, how to deal with the butt-load of delicious chips before the meal?!? I can do it....I've had chips before and know what they taste like, right? I don't NEED them........
I plan on either having the Grilled Chicken Salad or the Chicken Fajitas...
I'll let you know how i do....

So far so good on my eating healthy and exercising. Consistency is going to be key. I've got to stay consistant!
I feel strong mentally and i was actually able to run on the treadmill today during my lunch knees usually hurt but today they were good to go.
There are others in the office that are watching what they eat too so that helps...little extra support ...yay!

June 8, 2010 - My First Blog Ever!

Hello World! It's me Rachel and this is my blog. My goal for this blog is to keep up with my weight loss achievements. (Yes! Achievements....i like to think positive)
I am 41 years old and overweight. (over 200lbs!) I want to be healthy and full of energy. No more execuses!! No more whinning and feeling bad about myself because of my weight! It's time for a change! I'm ready for a change.

And i certainly don't want to limit this blog to just my weight loss achievements. If you know me then you know from time to time some of the stangest things happen in my life so i'll have to include those as well. Ha ha!
